Four tree-risk profiles across the region.

Coastal premium (Terrigal, Wamberal, Avoca, Killcare): mature spotted gum and angophora on view-line blocks, salt-laden sea wind driving limb failure, and constant demand for view-line pruning that's done correctly so it lasts.

Bushland interface (Erina, Green Point, the peninsula fringe): densely treed blocks backing reserves and state forest, RFS-mapped bushfire-prone land, big complex removals and 10/50 hazard-reduction clearing.

Low-lying & flood-prone (Wyong, Tuggerah, Tumbi Umbi): swamp mahogany, paperbark and casuarina on wet lots where saturated ground loosens root plates and trees fail in storms.

Established urban canopy (Gosford, East Gosford, Point Clare): mature street and backyard trees on steep hillside blocks, heavily protected by Council, needing sectional removals and careful pruning.

The rules that apply right across the Coast.

  • Central Coast Council Tree Management: most established trees on private land are protected — removal and heavy pruning generally need an approved Private Tree Works application.
  • AS 4373: all pruning is done to the Pruning of Amenity Trees standard — we don't top trees.
  • AS 4970: trees retained on development sites are protected to the tree-protection standard so they survive the build.
  • RFS 10/50: bushfire clearing only where your address falls inside the entitlement area — we check the RFS tool first.
  • SafeWork NSW: all chainsaw, climbing and EWP/crane work to height-safety requirements, with full public liability insurance.
